BPH, Pekao to shed up to 6000 jobs
Bank Pekao and BPH Bank could fire up to 6000 workers after the planned merger as part of various cost-saving measures, sources told PARKIET recently. Neither bank would comment on the rumors, but analysts following the industry estimate the job losses at 2500 to 3500.

Information technology provider Softbank SA expects to close its 31 million zloty acquisition of Gladstone, a Cyprus-based consulting group sometime next week. The deal will be delayed by a few days by ?logistical issues?, Softbank said.
